West Africa
How to get there and how to get around:
| by air from Europe | by sea | by land |
| From | Carrier | Destination |
| Amsterdam | KLM | Lagos-Accra |
| Brussels | SABENA | Dakar-Banjul, Bamako, Ouaga |
| Düsseldorf | Ghana Airways | |
| Frankfurt | Lufthansa | Accra, Lagos |
| South African | Abdijan | |
| Air Maroc | Casablanca and Bamako | |
| London | BA, GhA | Accra-Lagos |
| Paris | AF, Air Afrique | Dakar, Abidjan, Douala, Bamako-Conakry, Ndjamena, Ouagadougou, Lomé, Cotonou |
| Rome | ALITALIA | Accra and Dakar |
| Zurich | SWISSAIR | Accra, Kano-Lagos |
| Then there are Air Algérie via Alger and Ethiopian Airlines via Addis (you may take EA from Dakar to Bamako and Ndjamena). | ||
You may know that a price difference exists between the francophone (Air Afrique) zone and the anglophone zone; thus it is cheaper to fly to Accra or Lagos (excursion PEX fares from 500 Î ) upwards than to Ouagadougou which is 1000 km nearer (from 800Î upward - economy fare around 1650 Î , business 2000 Î upward). Fare differences of 30% exist between high season - June to August, Dec.1-Jan 6) and low season.
special cases: Portuguese Guinea and Cape Verde Islands via TAP
